Heading to the Big Easy
Monday evening, I will be wheels up for New Orleans. On Wednesday, Aug. 15, at 6:00 p.m., I’ll give a book talk at the National World War II Museum, right downtown on Magazine Street, preceded by a reception with light refreshments at 5:00 p.m. What could be nicer? When our church took 109 volunteers to New Orleans to work on housing recovery after Hurricane Katrina, we must have driven past the museum nearly every day. Finally getting to go inside for the first time now – and in the best of circumstances. Very excited!
