I gave the talk on October 8, 2019, to the Dr. Harold C. Deutsch World War II History Round Table in St. Paul, MN. The Round Table recorded the entire evening program in which my talk was combined with the reminiscences of two B-29 veterans. My talk ends around the one hour mark. However, I encourage you to listen to the two veterans (after which come the Q&A with the three of us). Both veterans are very interesting, and — in a totally unanticipated way — I connected with former B-29 gunner and POW Bob Michelsen . Bob told me that he drew from that a small measure of relief from his survivor guilt. If so, that alone made the trip worthwhile.
